In this month the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina published a brochure entitled “Smuggling of Migrants – Case Law of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, period from 2018 until 2021”. Among other things, the brochure contains statutory provisions on criminal acts pertaining to smuggling of migrants, the institutional framework and an overview of statistics and case law of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2018-2021 period.
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina saw the need to address this topic, bearing in mind that the number of migrants in Bosnia and Herzegovina increased considerably starting from the year 2018, putting a strain on the State in terms of human and financial resources and with the judicial institutions having to deal with an increased number of cases involving the smuggling of migrants.
In this way, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to promote the development of case law in BiH and increase the transparency of its work for the legal professionals and other interested parties.
